Pin where you left the car and read the street — cleaning schedule, posted signs, metered hours — free. Reminders before the sweeper comes, on that block or any other you use, come with Member. None of this needs another neighbor.

Your location stays yours.

Before the handshake, a departure shows as direction and approximate distance — never a street address, never coordinates. Exact location reveals only when both members are within about 100 feet, and that decision is made on the server, never on your phone.

When a handoff ends, live session location is dropped from the active map. Historical precise coordinates may be kept under encryption for up to 90 days for coordination integrity and safety review, then deleted or coarsened to a non-identifying area. We do not sell location data or use it for ads.

What happens when something goes wrong.

On the map, members show as a display name and standing signal — not a public profile of personal details. During a handoff, your matched partner may see what they need to find you (for example vehicle details via proximity-reveal). Phone numbers are never exchanged through Coordn8.

Why this is legal when others weren't.

Two apps tried this a decade ago and were shut down. Haystack let a departing driver hold a spot and collect a fee for it. MonkeyParking auctioned spots to the highest bidder. Both treated a public space as something a private person could profit from mediating. Both cities were right.

Coordn8 removed the exchange entirely. No member receives anything of value from another member. No space is held, assigned, or valued. What moves between two neighbors is a timestamp.

Community credits, in one line

Closed-loop, non-transferable, and never convertible to cash. They're issued by the platform and redeemable only in our perks hub — structurally the same as airline miles. They cannot be bought, and they never flow between members.

The hold isn't a fee

When you commit to a coordination, credits are held by the platform as a stake against no-shows — not sent to the other member. Cancel in time and it's released in full.

What standing is, and how yours moves.

Standing is a trust score computed from what you've actually done on Coordn8. It is recognition, not currency — it can't be spent, transferred, or bought.

Contributions add up.

Standing is built from your record of genuine contributions, and gains taper as that record grows — the first confirmed swaps move it most. Penalties subtract from it. Steady genuine activity is what raises a score that has been knocked down.

Nobody sees your number.

You see your own score and tier in your profile. Other members never see it — a pin carries an anonymous confidence signal, and that's all. Standing describes contributions, not people, and it is never a public ranking.

Explainable on purpose. Standing is a weighted sum of real events — not a black box. Every tier change decomposes into the events behind it, and any member can appeal to human review. Automated decisions that restrict people need a basis a human can inspect, and that's a design constraint here, not a footnote.

Coordn8 ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Coordn8 mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your phone number, email address (optional), display name, date of birth (for age verification), and profile photo (optional).

Location data. Coordn8 requires access to your device location to signal departures, find nearby spots, and coordinate handoffs. We collect precise GPS coordinates while you use the app. With your permission, we may access your location in the background during active coordination sessions only.

Vehicle information. You may optionally save vehicle details (make, model, color, and license plate) in the app to help complete handoffs. License plate is Sensitive: it is not shown on a public profile. It is revealed only to your matched partner during proximity-based handoff when needed to identify the right car.

Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including swap history, departure signals, and coordination activity.

Contacts. With your permission, we access your contacts solely to let you send parking heads-ups to people you know. We do not store your contact list on our servers.

Device information. We collect device identifiers, operating system version, and push notification tokens to deliver alerts and maintain service quality.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

With other users. With matched partners during an active handoff only: your display name, proximity distance, and vehicle details needed to find each other (including license plate when proximity-reveal applies). Precise location is not shared with other users except as required for that handoff. Precise location is Sensitive: it is not kept forever — we retain it under encryption for up to 90 days for coordination and safety, then delete or coarsen it. It is not sold or used for advertising. License plate and identifying vehicle details are shared only with your matched coordination partner during an active handoff (proximity-reveal), not as a public profile field.
Service providers. We use trusted third-party services including Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication and data storage, Resend for email delivery, and Stripe for identity verification. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention

Account. We retain account information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

Sensitive location (precise GPS / handshake coordinates). Retained under encryption for up to 90 days for coordination integrity and safety review, then deleted or coarsened to a non-identifying area. Live session location is removed from the active map when the handoff ends.

Other coordination / operational logs (non-precise). Swap history and non-precise coordination metadata may be retained under a separate operational policy (up to 24 months for those logs).

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at privacy@coordn8.co.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of marketing communications
Port your data to another service

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16 years of age. Users must be at least 16 years old to register (18 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Location Data — Additional Disclosures

Coordn8's core functionality requires location access. Location data is used exclusively to facilitate parking swaps and is not sold or shared with advertisers. Background location access, when granted, is used only during active coordination sessions and is suspended when no session is in progress. Sensitive precise location. Exact coordinates used for matching and handoffs are treated as Sensitive: encrypted at rest under our key-management controls, retained up to 90 days, then deleted or coarsened. Background location is not used to build a permanent parking history for advertising.

8. Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via push notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Coordn8 mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Coordn8 (18 in jurisdictions that require it). By using the Service, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement. Coordn8 is currently available in select cities in the United States only.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You may not transfer your account to another person.

3. How Coordn8 Works

Coordn8 is a peer-to-peer platform that connects drivers who are leaving a parking spot ("Givers") with drivers looking for one ("Seekers"). The Service facilitates coordination between users; it does not own, control, or guarantee the availability of any parking spot. All parking transactions are between users.

No payment between users. Coordn8 does not facilitate direct payment between Givers and Seekers. Community credits are a non-monetary recognition system operated solely by Coordn8 and have no cash value.

4. Community Standards

You agree to use Coordn8 honestly and in good faith. You must not:

Signal a departure you do not intend to complete ("no-show")
Provide false information about your vehicle, location, or identity
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Create multiple accounts or circumvent restrictions
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service

Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Service.

5. Memberships and Purchases

Coordn8 offers a free tier and a paid Coordn8 Member subscription. Subscriptions and add-ons are billed through Apple App Store in accordance with Apple's terms. All purchases are final unless required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings.

Coordn8 reserves the right to modify pricing or features with reasonable notice.

6. Location and Permissions

Coordn8 requires location access to function. You consent to Coordn8 accessing your device location while using the Service and, during active coordination sessions only, in the background. You may revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings, but doing so will prevent core Service functionality.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Coordn8 does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular parking spot will be available. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coordn8 and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid to Coordn8 in the past 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coordn8 and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app (Settings → Delete Account). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable.

Swap guidelines

How Coordn8 expects members to behave during parking handoffs — communication, safety, and respect for local rules.

These guidelines summarize expectations for coordinators. Copy may evolve as we open new regions — check the in-app Swap Guidelines task for the latest.

Coordn8 helps drivers coordinate courteous parking handoffs. Everyone is responsible for exercising good judgment and following applicable laws and posted rules.

Communicate clearly about timing, meeting point, and vehicle details once the app indicates it's appropriate to do so.
Follow traffic laws and signage. Handoffs happen in the real world — yield, avoid unsafe maneuvers, and respect no-parking zones.
Honor commitments. Cancel or update promptly in the app if your plans change so the other driver isn't left waiting.
Prioritize safety. If a situation feels unsafe, disengage and use official channels or in-app reporting when available.
No harassment or discrimination. Treat other drivers respectfully.

Tokens, credits, or in-app incentives (if shown) are program mechanics governed by the Terms of Service — they are not a substitute for knowing local parking regulations.

Membership

Cancel your membership.

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the automatic monthly renewal — you keep member access until the end of the period you have already been billed for.

That link opens your Apple subscription settings, where Coordn8 memberships are managed. Coordn8 memberships are billed by Apple, so cancellation is completed there.

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap Coordn8.
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

If you do not see Cancel Subscription, the membership is already cancelled and will not renew.

On a Mac or the web

Go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions and sign in with your Apple Account.
Find Coordn8 in the list.
Choose Edit, then Cancel Subscription.

If you need help cancelling

Email support@coordn8.co with the email address on your account and we will help you cancel. We respond to cancellation requests within two business days and will confirm in writing once the membership is set not to renew.

What happens when you cancel

Member access continues until the end of the current billing period, then stops.
Your account stays open on the free tier — you do not lose it.
Your community credit balance stays with your account.
No further renewals are billed once cancellation is confirmed by Apple.

Cancelling is not the same as deleting your account. To delete your account and associated data, open Profile → Legal & support → Delete account in the app.

Automatic renewal terms

The Coordn8 membership is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it.
The renewal amount is billed to your Apple Account within 24 hours before the current period ends.
The membership price and renewal period are shown in the app before you confirm, and on the App Store product page.
We notify you in advance of any change to the membership price, through the contact channel on your account, so you can cancel before the change takes effect.
To avoid the next period being billed, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

Regional rollout

Coordn8 onboards members city by city. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee timing or eligibility for every feature. We may adjust geography, capacity, or waitlist ordering as the program evolves, and some features may be limited or unavailable in your area during beta.

Permissions & product behavior

Location. If you grant access, we use it for map-based experiences, proximity-aware coordination, and qualifying your area for rollout. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings.

Notifications. If you grant access, we may send operational messages — for example waitlist updates or coordination timing. You can adjust notification style in Settings.

Account fields help us confirm readiness. Optional vehicle details support handoffs and are not published as a public profile (see the Privacy Policy).

Access levels

Until your account is promoted to full regional access, the app may present a dedicated waitlist experience. Feature flags and server permissions can change during beta as we tune capacity and stability, sometimes without advance notice.

Membership & add-ons

Coordn8 offers an optional monthly membership and optional feature add-ons billed through your App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings. Prices are shown in the app beforehand. Being on the waitlist does not require any payment.

Beta expectations

Coordn8 is in active development. Features, availability, and behavior may change, and service may occasionally be interrupted. Parking map hints and coordination signals are community-sourced and are never a guarantee that a space is available or legal to use — always follow posted signs and local regulations.

Product

Parking map hints.

Map hints are crowdsourced observations that a curb or space might be available. They are not a reservation, permit, guarantee, or substitute for obeying posted signs and local regulations.

How hints work

A driver may drop a short-lived “hint” at a map location after they believe they saw plausible parking nearby.
Other drivers nearby can react — for example “still looks open,” “I took this one,” or “not available” — so the signal updates over time.
Hints decay automatically and expire on their own. Treat a hint like a rumor from the last hour, not a calendar entry.
An older hint with no recent reactions is weaker than a fresh one. If a hint has expired or been marked taken, it stops showing on the map.

When a hint is wrong

Hints are community guesses and are often out of date by the time you arrive. If you get there and the space is gone, occupied, or not legal to use, simply move on — there is nothing to cancel and no penalty. You can react on the hint so the next driver sees an accurate signal.

What hints are not

Not a Coordn8 coordination. A coordinated handoff between two members follows separate rules inside the app and is not the same as a public map hint.
Not entitlement to park. Always verify signage, curb paint, accessibility zones, loading rules, meters, residential permits, temporary restrictions, tow zones, construction, and anything your city requires.
Not a guarantee of availability. A hint never holds a space for you.
Not legal advice. You are responsible for parking lawfully and safely.

Safety

Never interact with the app while driving. Pull over safely before reading or reacting to a hint. Follow all traffic laws and posted restrictions — a hint on the map never overrides them.

Privacy

Public hint data does not show who reported a pin. Analytics about hints avoid raw GPS coordinates in event payloads. See the Privacy Policy for how location data is handled.

Before December 15

The app is distributed through TestFlight, Apple’s official app for trying software before it’s released. It’s free, it’s made by Apple, and it takes about two minutes.

Getting in

When does Coordn8 launch?

December 15, in New York City. You don’t have to wait for it — ask for an invite and we’ll send one straight away.

Is it in the App Store yet?

No. Until December 15 the only way in is an early-access invite.

Do I need TestFlight?

Yes, for now. TestFlight is Apple’s own free app for trying software before release. You install it once, tap the invite we email you, and Coordn8 installs like any other app. After launch it’s an ordinary App Store download.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Coordn8 is iPhone-only at launch, on iOS 17 or later.

Why isn’t my neighborhood open?

You can use Coordn8 anywhere in the city to read a street’s rules. Handoffs need neighbors, so those get better as more people nearby join — telling us your ZIP when you ask for an invite is how we know where to build out first.

What actually happens in a handoff?

Do I pay another driver for a space?

No, and you can’t. Nothing of value changes hands between members, ever. Coordn8 is coordination software, not a marketplace for public curb space.

Can I read a street’s rules without anyone else using the app?

Yes. Swipe your finger along any street and Coordn8 reads its cleaning schedule, posted signs and meter hours from the city’s own data. It works on streets nobody has ever opened the app on.

Is a hint a guaranteed space?

No. A hint tells you what other drivers have seen recently, and it fades as it ages. It is never a reservation and never a substitute for reading the signs on the pole. More on hints.

What does a membership add?

Street cleaning and meter reminders, reminders on up to 10 streets, the Today window, neighborhood search with a wider radius, giving a neighbor a heads-up, and the perks hub. A membership buys software convenience — never anything about a public space.

How do I cancel?

In your Apple subscription settings, at any time. You keep member access through the period you’ve already been billed for. Step-by-step here.

What are community credits?

A closed loop. Credits come from Coordn8 to you, they are non-transferable between members, and they cannot be converted to cash.

Does Coordn8 know where I park?

During use, yes — matching needs it. After a handoff, live pins leave the map. Precise historical coordinates may remain encrypted for up to 90 days, then we delete or coarsen them. Coarse operational records (without exact GPS) follow a separate retention policy.

Who sees my exact location?

Nobody, until a handoff is nearly complete. Before the handshake a departure shows as direction and approximate distance only, and the reveal decision is made on the server rather than on your phone. Privacy policy.

Does anyone see my phone number?

No. Members never exchange phone numbers through Coordn8.

What happens to a coordination after it ends?

The live session ends and exact pins leave the active map. Any retained precise coordinates are Sensitive: encrypted, kept at most 90 days for coordination and safety, then deleted or coarsened.

Something went wrong

The other driver never showed up.

Report it. A no-show lowers their standing, and every tier change decomposes into the events behind it, so nothing moves without a reason you can see.
